Iron Vine Security was founded in 2008 when the partners recognized that organizations need a different kind of support securing their systems and complying with mandates. The partners of Iron Vine Security have over 35 years combined experience in the private sector working with government agencies. Over the years, the partners noticed that many organizations vastly overspent on technology but failed to implement the disciplined processes required to use that technology effectively. Further, many of these organizations became paralyzed by regulations and became disheartened after ending each year with no meaningful accomplishments. To help organizations, Iron Vine Security builds programs based on process, deploying technologies that not only help with compliance, but also become fundamental in supporting continual risk measurement.

The partners have worked with all branches of the federal government, supporting different aspects of those organizations, from operations to security. They understand the complexity of securing government, from the latency challenges of operating a network over global satellite links to the culture clashes often involved with security awareness training. They have spent years examining attacks targeting the federal government and performing investigations on agency systems. Iron Vine Security has developed specific processes that evaluate and support federal security programs and technology to reduce the possibility of a successful attack while increasing visibility and accountability.
